The book is a blend of romance, discrimination, betrayal and everything else that a black-faced because of being a black.

Though the book is mostly romantic but towards the end, it gets tragic as the rebellion rises and the blacks start protesting against whites.
Don't Read it For:
The language used here might not be very understandable, and you will have to read the book at least twice if you really want to know about the culture.

The book stands out because of amidst of all the rebellion that had risen; there is a beauty of emotion called love which is actually missing in most of the books.
