Jack Wothing has posed as Ernest to make Gwendolean fall for him while Algernon has done the same with Jack’s ward, Cecily. Now all four visit Jack’s country home and a chaos-bomb is going to detonate. In the obstreperous situation, a decrepit nursemaid and an old purse can be the saviours. This Oscar Wilde masterpiece is filled with weirdly suited characters and a comic plot, and has been a great comedy drama recommendation.

The Christ has been definitely the most persuasive and influential being in the history of the world, even after his sacrifice. His teachings and lessons have continued to change people’s lives for the good. But this Chirsopher Moore’s book is about his life, the one born in a barn with the world on his shoulders. The Messiah’s childhood companion Biff is the one who’ll be narrating the incidents from Jesus’s childhood. This is a heartily written book with divine comedy and humour in the adventures of the child Miracle.

Three Men in a Boat is a timeless comedy, one of the best works of Jerome K. Jerome and his humorous imaginations. Jerome and his friends George and Harris decide to go upstream the Thames one weekend with a boat, wrong weather report, tent, J.’s pet dog Montmorency and a little too much bit of bad luck. This is one of most pure comedies with incidents hysterically comic independently too. Succeeded by an equally brilliant book Three men on the Bummel.

Ned Henry is a time traveler assigned with the tedious job of retracting a Victorian era bishop’s bird stump to complete the collection of Coventry Cathedral destroyed in the war. Even after multiple missions he is unable to complete the task, but his tiredness would not relieve him of his upcoming duties. Verity, another time traveler has accidently brought back something that could change the whole course of history. It is up to Ned now in this Connie Willis’s hilariously told story of ages, oscillating between ages.

Ignatius Reilly is an eccentric character who loves to write but hides it from his drunk mother. His tales of extreme horror while traveling a speeding bus is one of the commons. But he is about to see things more horrid than that. His mother and he gets in an accident and his life turns upside down, throwing him on the streets. Filled with vivid characters, John Kennedy Toole’s classic is a gruesome humor crusted over sorrow face of the life.

Inspired by S. Morgenstern’s classic love story novel of the same name, The Princess Bride is allegedly a more realistic and comic version of it by William Goldman. It’s a complete world of imagination with everything happening in the book. Enter it once and you shall see everything that happens in a life. A beautiful woman marries a handsome man, but they don’t live happily ever after. Things happen.

The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch is the most reliable book of prophecies and it says the world will end next Saturday.  The Divine Plan for the Judgement Day is active, everything seems to be going as planned,but one. An angel and a demon living between these mortals for a long time, seem to comprehend and like the lifestyle and aren't sanguine about the upcoming Second Coming. Amidst all this chaos someone has misplaced the Antichrist. Terry Pratchet is one of the most notable parody writers of his time.

During his time, H. G. Wells apart from many of his timeless pieces of work and wonder, produced this fiction comedy of a Martian attack on Earth. Certainly one of the first books with this concept, followed in every way in the coming years, is not your usual Sci-Fi but a satire and an ironic look at Human Beings, the ultimate conquerors being conquered.
