This ancient work by Philip K. Dick was initially printed in 1953 and we're currently republishing it with a brand-new opening biography. 'Small Town' is a brief story about a guy with godlike power over two cities. Dick and his family moved into the Bay Area of San Francisco when he was young, and later to Washington DC after his divorce. Dick attended school after which a Quaker school prior to the family moved back to California. It was about this time that Dick started to have an active interest in the science fiction genre, studying his very first magazine'Stirring Science Stories', in age twelve. He also sold his first story in 1951 and from there he composed fulltime, selling his first publication in 1955. Along with 44 published books, Dick composed an estimated 121 brief stories, the majority of which appeared in science fiction publications throughout his life.
