the book is not exactly new, but certainly deserves to be featured as one of the books to read for women’s book club. The story follows the lives of our adolescent girls as they undergo the growing pangs of growing in post-civil war society, with its constraints and the whole story is about how they each face up to their circumstances and how they deal with it. While the book has indeed been praised as one of the finest works of women empowerment, it still stands out as a beautiful example of literary work, by Louisa McKay.
